About Colfax County Senior Citizens, Inc.
The corporation was organized as a domestic non-profit corporation without capital stock or shares on May 31, 1974. The name of the corporation is Colfax County Senior Citizens, Inc. and was granted perpetual status on May 23, 1979. The Board of Directors consists of five (5) members representing the service area of Colfax County which includes the communities of Cimarron, Maxwell, Miami, Raton, Springer and Ute Park. The Executive Director is the chief executive officer, responsible to the Board of Directors for the overall operation of the corporation, the execution of policy decisions of the Board, submission of all reports and recommendations as are necessary and guiding the staff and the individual Senior Centers of Colfax County in the furtherance of corporation goals.

Our mission is to provide social and nutritional services for the elderly of those communities affiliated with the Corporation in accordance with the priorities of the Older Americans Act of 1965. To actively participate in those activities and services that will keep our Senior Citizens in their homes to live their lives with dignity and respect as long as reasonably possible. To provide both in-home services and social services which include nutritional services, transportation services, homemaking and chore services as well as recreational activities.
